Who are your favorite people to be around?
My favorite people to be around come few and far between. I value those that cherish the attributes money cannot buy. The humble and kind. Those that live with care and compassion in their hearts, even when they’ve suffered by the hands of hatred. The unbiased nonjudgmental intellectuals who aren’t afraid to speak the brutal truth – unapologetically. I admire people who have been below rock bottom and well above the top. The resilient survivors and fighters that thrive to constantly elevate. My favorite people are eccentric, open minded, wise beyond their years, and enlightened through experience. My favorite people are the truth seekers, the beacons of light in the dark, the rare and real. We are the people that never give up on hope for humanity. The hardest to come by and the most blessed when we unite! Some call us the weirdo’s and crazy because we stand out from the crowd. I call us the elites. Real is rare in a world of despair.

It took several years of surrounding myself with all the wrong people due to being a people pleaser and several tragedies before I learned healthy boundaries. Once I broke the toxic cycle and realized I was surrounding myself with the same toxic types I was raised with; I elevated my standards and realized what’s truly important in life. Thank you for commenting! I enjoyed reading some of you posts. Especially the one person with two sides! That’s very relatable as I have Dissociative Identity Disorder (system of 8 multiple personalities). My main two are the loving, caring, empathetic kindhearted side and the FAFO – dark empath – destroyer of the hateful, evil, and vile. I guess that’s the vigilante personality!

I’m sad to hear you had people around you at the beginning that didn’t value you but so glad you found people worth being around in the end. I relate to you being a people pleaser – I’m still trying to break out of that, it’s tough. I like that your main character is caring and kind hearted, that’s really beautiful. Then the vigilante part must be there to protect and keep you safe. I understand that part, too xx
